Ethan Roberts is a Deputy Head Teacher at Woodlands School in Basildon, Essex. With ten years' experience in the classroom, Ethan took on his first Deputy Headship four years ago, just months before the beginning of the pandemic. During this unprecedented challenge, taking a lead on his school's online education provision, Ethan soon became aware of the gross disparities in pupils' access to IT equipment both in school and at home. This led him to campaign alongside Sunrise IT to procure unwanted IT equipment from businesses all across Essex to support pupils in need. Ethan then went on to become a founding Trustee for Every Child Online: a highly successful charity that looks to tackle digital poverty in a sustainable and community-minded way.
