Tessa Younger
Tessa is Stewardship Lead for Environment at CCLA Investment Management, which has been managing investments on behalf of non-profit organisations since 1958. As an asset manager, CCLA aims to meet clients’ financial objectives in a way that aligns with their values and furthers their mission. Tessa leads CCLA’s Better Environment initiative, steering engagement with listed companies and overseeing all stewardship on environmental issues, including climate change and biodiversity, with the aim of driving tangible improvements at investee companies.
Tessa represents CCLA on several external advisory groups, including the PRI’s ‘Spring’ advisory committee for nature and the IIGCC UK policy working group. She has contributed to CCLA’s public policy work by drafting consultation responses to the UK government's Call for Evidence on Scope 3 Emissions Disclosure and the Department for Transport's Draft National Networks National Policy Statement.
Previously, Tessa was Head of Engagement at PIRC Ltd, Europe’s largest independent corporate governance and shareholder advisory consultancy, where she led the engagement programme for the Local Authority Pension Fund Forum (LAPFF).
