Tahir is building the first Smart Home Data Bureau to quantify homes and enable hyper-personalised, engagement-led, more profitable Bank products for Gen Z homeowners. In March 2024, Smartlayer won the UK Government Smart Data Challenge, HomeScore, as a concept that could help British Households navigate the cost-of-ownership and energy crises. HomeScore was designed in collaboration with Lloyds Bank, NatWest Bank, and Barclays Lab.

Previously, Tahir built Canopy, used by over 5 million UK Renters, to make renting more affordable through open banking data—Canopy's expected exit price: circa £200m.
