Marcelo is the CFO of Belterra, a Brazilian company that implements productive agroforestry systems in diverse biomes in Brazil. He worked for BrasilAgro and subsequently at a private equity fund focused on the development of companies in the energy sector and for a private debt fund focused on climate investments in Latin America. He also worked for a company focused on biomass energy through the investment and divestment cycle, which was sold to a strategic investor. As CFO of Belterra, Marcelo structures mechanisms of long term offtake for commodities and blended finance capital. Marcelo has an undergraduate degree in business and MBA in venture capital at FGV.
