Jonathan Hart-Smith
COO,
ESG REC
With over 20 years of experience in the professional services recruitment industry, I am the Director & Founder of ESG REC Limited, a high quality recruitment and employment business that supports companies in finding and deploying ESG talent. ESG REC's purpose is to have a positive impact on the environment and society by acting as a role model for sustainable performance and delivering social value.
As a former CEO of CK Group, I led and grew teams and businesses across the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, and the USA, serving the biotech, pharmaceutical, and innovation sectors. I have significant expertise in strategy, consulting, and customer relationship management, as well as a strong track record in delivering staff and projects within data sciences, clinical research, real world evidence, chemistry, life sciences, medical writing, drug safety, and medical information. I also hold a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds, and an ESG Risk Management Certification from the University of Cambridge Online.
In addition, I serve as a Non Executive Director at the Institute of Employability Professionals, a Not for Profit organisation that promotes and develops the employability sector. I leverage my skills and knowledge to help these organisations achieve their goals and vision, and to contribute to the advancement and recognition of their fields. I am passionate about science, innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.
