Interactive workshop exploring the project to develop open-source resources and guidance for Carbon Accountants.

The Carbon Accounting Alliance (CAA) is hosting this interactive roundtable workshop to explore the ‘Carbon Commons’ project, a collaborative industry initiative to develop open-source resources and guidance for Carbon Accountants in partnership with Small World Consulting (SWC), Sage, Planet Mark, GoGreenExperts, Planet Positive, and the CAA Community. In this workshop we will explore and discuss two key workstreams:

  1. Development of a Wikipedia-style platform to contain evolving best practice guidance, resources and signposting for Carbon Accounting to make best practices fully accessible and free to all.

  2. A research project led by SWC and Sage to develop a new hybridised form of carbon emissions factors that combines and addresses the limitations of spend-based and product life cycle assessments to dramatically improve scope 3 emissions measurement.
