Alyssa Gilbert

Alyssa Gilbert is the Director of Policy and Translation at the Grantham Institute - Climate change and the Environment at Imperial College London where she connects relevant research across the university with policy-makers and businesses.  She is also the interim Director of the Centre for Climate Change Innovation, and joint project of Imperial and the Royal Institution. Alyssa is the Chair of the UK universities climate network (UUCN), which initially brought together UK academic expertise on climate change ahead of the international negotiations in November 2021 and now continues to collaborate as a community. Prior to joining the university, she worked at a specialist energy and climate consultancy Ecofys for nearly 12 years on a range of climate change mitigation and adaptation topics, with a focus on policy questions. Alyssa has worked with the UK and many other national governments and at the international level. She has also been a member of the Natural Environment Research Council’s Advisory Network. Alyssa has also worked a researcher for the Deputy Mayor of London and as a journalist on Environmental Policy in Brussels.  Alyssa has a degree in Natural Sciences.
