Tom is CEO of Small World Consulting, world-leading experts in measuring the carbon and full environmental impacts of organisations and landscapes.

An environmental scientist by degree, most of his career has been within the energy sector, Tom has worked across the electricity, hydrogen and digital technology sectors, leading decarbonisation and network adaptation strategies. He is experienced in both informing government policy and delivering consumer-focused projects to drive the green energy transition.

Tom’s lifelong passion for being part of the systemic changes needed to address the climate crises led him to his role at Small World Consulting, where he brings a bold approach, innovative thinking and partnership working on all aspects of sustainability with a wide range of corporate clients. Working alongside its founder Mike Berners-Lee, he oversees business development and represents Small World in a number of projects including the government’s SME Sustainability Taskforce.
