Tom Edwards is Head of Development and Operations, Immersive Entertainment and Events at Excel London, one of the UK’s leading major event venues. With over 14 years’ experience, Tom plays a key role in driving innovation, operational excellence, and delivery across some of the venues most ambitious projects.
At the forefront of Excels evolving entertainment strategy, Tom currently leads the development of Immerse LDN, a new, purpose-built destination, designed to host next-generation immersive experiences. As operational lead, Tom has been instrumental in shaping this environment, which provides the base build for operators to create transformative live entertainment.

Alongside his work on Immerse LDN, Tom also oversees the venue delivery of the ABB FIA Formula E London E-prix, an all-electric race that takes place in and around Excel London. This event is not only one of the most complex logistical undertakings in the venues calendar, and a world first in motor racing, but is also a global showcase for how sport and sustainability can go hand in hand. Under Toms leadership, Excel and Formula E have collaborated and embraced innovative practises to minimise its environmental impact, and to build a platform for future ready, environmentally responsible sports experiences.
With a career grounded in delivering world-class events that meet the evolving demands of stakeholders, Tom brings a holistic perspective to the challenge of harmonising entertainment and the environment. He is a passionate advocate for how venues and promoters can work collaboratively to embed sustainability into the DNA of live events from the very beginning.
