Steve Hunt is Co‑Founder and Business Development & Operations Director at Ener‑Vate, a UK‑based commercial consultancy specialising in low‑carbon district heating and large‑scale energy infrastructure.
Steve co‑founded Ener‑Vate in 2014, following a career at E.ON, with the aim of supporting the transition to sustainable, affordable heat through high‑quality commercial and strategic advisory services. Since then, Ener‑Vate has grown into a nationally recognised consultancy supporting heat network projects across the UK.
With offices in Staffordshire, Glasgow and Manchester, Ener‑Vate works with local authorities, housing associations, developers and major landowners, providing support from early‑stage feasibility and business case development through to implementation and long‑term operational support.
Steve has played a key role in shaping Ener‑Vate’s growth and reputation, working closely with clients and partners to ensure projects are commercially robust, deliverable and aligned with wider decarbonisation objectives.
He is also the host of Ener‑Vate’s YouTube series, ‘Let’s Talk About Heat Networks with Ener‑Vate’, where he discusses key industry topics and speaks with professionals from across the energy sector.
