Simon Bager is the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Klimate.co, a carbon removal advisory helping companies navigate and manage carbon removal credits as part of their sustainability strategies. In this role, he oversees the company's technical and commercial offering to ensure that Klimate brings the most effective and credible carbon removal solutions to market. 

With a career exclusively dedicated to sustainability, Simon brings deep expertise in climate change, nature-based solutions and technological carbon removal. His background spans policy analysis, sustainability assessments and project implementation for public and private sector clients across multiple continents. He has also co-founded the Nordic Carbon Removal Association to further carbon removal investments across the Nordics. He has also sat on several boards and advisory bodies, having most recently held a global climate advisory role at a large multinational company.

Simon holds a Ph.D. from Université Catholique de Louvain, an M.Sc. in Environmental Management and Policy from Lund University and both an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Geography from the University of Copenhagen, where he is an External Lecturer and sits on the Employer Advisory Board.
