A chartered Engineer Sean is responsible for developing and implementing risk management programmes for UK and international power sector risks underwritten by Zurich Commercial Insurance;providing technical support and advice to, Construction & Operations Underwriters, Risk Engineering colleagues, Clients and Contractors. Since Joining Zurich in 2019, Sean has become a lead for Construction and Operational Power and Water projects, providing support to underwriters and the insured with risk exposure assessments and risk mitigation strategies.

Immediately before Joining Zurich Sean held a role within Siemens UK Plc as the O&M asset manager at Severn Power Station (2x 425MW single shaft machines utilising 4000F technology), during which time he initiated the successful implementation of ISO 55001 asset management standard and a risk based O&M culture.

Sean’s prior experience in the Middle East with DNVGL as Head of Asset Optimisation delivered successful programmes to asset owners and Government bodies that increased bottom line margins through technical, operational and commercial improvement programmes.
