Sarah has been a key voice in shaping a more flexible, demand-led energy system since joining ADE in 2021, working across policy areas to advocate for properly rewarding homes, businesses and industry for their role in decarbonising Great Britain. She has experience in research and advocacy with international human rights NGOs, and brings a broad, systems-focused perspective to energy policy.

She will moderate “Flexing the Grid for a Decarbonised UK Energy System,” a session exploring how flexibility can unlock capacity, support renewable integration and optimise system performance. This discussion sits within a wider programme focused on investment, innovation and pathways to decarbonisation, examining the market forces shaping the green economy across energy, transport, industry and the built environment, and highlighting the role of flexible, decentralised systems in building a resilient, low-carbon future.
