Sarah Boyack is a Scottish Labour and Co-operative Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Lothian Region. Sarah was elected in the inaugural Scottish Parliament election in 1999 and was immediately appointed as Environment and Transport Minister in the first Scottish Government. Some of her policy achievements in Government included the rollout of free bus passes for the over 60s and disabled people and the establishment of Scotland’s first national parks, Sarah is currently Scottish Labour’s Spokesperson for Net Zero, Energy and a Just Transition. She is passionate about ensuring a fair and smooth transition to a net zero economy, and is working hard with stakeholders on developing practical solutions to deliver de-carbonisation and promoting active travel.
