Sam Giles is the head of the patent and design department at Meissner Bolte UK and is based in their office in West Yorkshire. He has a background in physics and is a UK chartered patent attorney, UK IP litigator, European patent attorney and European patent litigator. Sam typically works in the software, mechanical, electronics, and high-tech fields and with associated inventive concepts. Sam works with innovators from all over the country and further afield, with a real focus on Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, and the surrounding areas.

These innovators are of all sizes and Sam drafts and prosecutes patent applications to grant in order to protect these innovators intellectual property, whilst advising on strategy to maximise the scope of protection whilst promoting cost-efficiency. He is also adept at litigating intellectual property disputes through the courts of England and Wales. In his spare time, Sam enjoys fell-running in the Peaks, Pennines and Lakes.
