Sabrina Giagheddu is a Senior Legal Counsel – ESG & Sustainability at VanEck, specializing in sustainable finance and the regulatory framework governing ESG investment funds, with a particular focus on ETFs. In her role, she plays a key part in shaping the firm’s sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with evolving European regulations, and overseeing the legal aspects of sustainable investment products.
Sabrina has extensive experience in integrating ESG principles into fund structures and corporate strategy. She actively monitors and interprets regulatory developments, helping to guide VanEck’s ESG commitments in an increasingly complex and fast-evolving landscape.
She is a member of VanEck’s European ESG Committee and ESG Working Group, where she contributes to embedding sustainability considerations across investment processes, governance, and risk management, while also supporting industry engagement and thought leadership initiatives.
A certified expert in ESG and impact investing since 2022, Sabrina is passionate about the intersection of sustainability and financial regulation, and brings a pragmatic, forward-looking approach to advancing responsible investment practices.
