With over 25 years’ experience in clean energy and environmental law, Ross heads the firm's Renewable Energy and Net Zero services teams. He is a highly respected figure in the industry, known for his expertise in power and revenue contracts, commercial project agreements, and energy regulation.
Ross has advised on numerous renewable energy projects, including wind (onshore and offshore), hydrogen, biomass, wave and tidal, solar, geothermal, biofuels, hydro, electric vehicles, carbon capture, and waste-to-energy. His clients range from investors and utilities to government bodies and innovative developers.
Qualified to practice law in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, Ross is an existing member of the Burges Salmon Board. He chairs Renewable UK's Strategy Forum and has previously served as Deputy Chair of the UK Hydrogen Energy Association and as a Council Member of the UK Environmental Law Association. Recognised for his contributions to the field, Ross was listed in The Lawyer Hot 100 in 2023 and is featured in Legal 500's Hall of Fame.
