Richard is Peabody’s Director of Sustainability. He is leading the organisation’s transition to net zero carbon by 2050 after previously heading up the investment and strategic asset management teams. He published Peabody’s refreshed Environmental Sustainability strategy in 2023 and is currently working on heat networks, climate risk and adaptation, renewable technology, and reducing Peabody’s carbon impact in its operations and in new and existing homes. He is passionate about social housing, sustainable places, customer service and making sure that the homes that we live in are safe, secure and fit for the future.
