Head of Financial Institutions Engagement , Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)

Pendar is the Head of Financial Institutions Engagement at the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). He has specialised in strategy and sustainability within the financial services sector for most of his career. Prior to joining SBTi, he was the Head of Strategy and Research at the British Bankers Association (now UK Finance), Strategy and Planning Director at HSBC Global Commercial Banking and Director at KPMG's Global Strategy Group. Earlier in his career, he supported clients with strategy implementation within the Energy and Utilities sector while working at PwC Consulting and Logica. His PhD research at Imperial College focused on driving energy efficiency in automotive vehicles.
