Nicole Austin, CFA, is the Head of Sustainability Stakeholder Engagement at Philip Morris International. With her strategic foresight, Nicole has been pivotal in shaping and advancing PMI's sustainability strategy. Her primary responsibility is monitoring sustainability-related insights to ensure PMI's strategy meets external expectations and addresses the company's most material impacts, risks, and opportunities. Nicole has led the integration of sustainability practices across various functions and markets, facilitating engagement and strengthening the company's non-financial reporting practices. With a strong background in financial controlling and planning, Nicole has been instrumental in helping PMI pursue the same degree of rigor in the management and reporting of non-financial metrics as it does for financial information. Over the last decade, Nicole has held several positions within the company's finance and sustainability organizations. Her deep understanding of both functions has been crucial in further integrating PMI's sustainability strategy into business strategy and processes. Nicole holds a master's degree in Sustainability Leadership from The University of Cambridge, a Masters in Operational Research from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Mathematics degree from The University of Melbourne.
