Neil is an Associate at Eigen Ventures and a proven commercial and technical leader with a strong record of scaling technology businesses focusing on the NZ journey for the electrification of transport, energy infrastructure, securing investment and delivering profitable growth.

As COO/CTO of Voltempo, Neil scaled the company from 3 to 52 people, led development of the UK’s first Megawatt Charging System (MCS), for eHGVs, secured NGED approval for its 11kV grid connection.

At Energy Systems Catapult, he designed and delivered national SME commercialisation programmes, helping with Eigen Ventures to secure BEIS funded incubation programme and with the support of University of Birmingham a similar four year programme sponsored by HSBC. His work enabled over 200 SMEs to commercialise Net Zero technologies and raise more than £4m in private investment.

Previously, Neil help secured the establishment of the Smart Mobility Living Lab at TRL. Neil has worked within iDNOs and ICPs, gaining a deep understanding of the UK’s energy distribution and connections industry, prior to which he successfully led divisions at FKI Logistex, and Rolls Royce. 

Neil is a professional Electrical Engineer, MBA graduate.
