Neil Spann is CEO of Power Roll, a UK-based clean technology company pioneering ultra-low-cost, lightweight solar films designed to unlock surfaces where conventional solar cannot be deployed. With over 17 years’ experience in energy efficiency and renewables, Neil has led the company’s transition from breakthrough R&D to scalable manufacturing, advancing a novel roll-to-roll production process that enables high-volume, low-cost deployment. Under his leadership, Power Roll is building a globally competitive UK manufacturing capability and developing partnerships with major industrial and energy players worldwide. Neil is focused on accelerating the commercialisation of next-generation solar technologies to expand access to clean energy and support net zero targets. He previously held senior roles in large-scale energy services businesses and has contributed to national policy initiatives, including the UK Government Solar Task Force.
