I'm Natalie Black, founder of Enbee Architecture and Design.

I’m a sustainable architect.

We use natural materials to transform older houses into healthy, beautifully designed, high-performance homes.

Using low-carbon design, we reduce energy consumption by up to 90%, while improving comfort, wellbeing and indoor air quality.

Since 2023, our work has met RIBA and LETI 2030 carbon targets and been shortlisted for the Architects’ Journal and Retrofit Academy Awards.

We find that homeowners don’t want to compromise between a home that looks good and one that performs, so we monitor the budget carefully throughout the process.

I want to see a world where low-carbon design is as desirable as a high-end renovation in the UK because people see it as the best for health, comfort and well-being, as well as one of the most effective ways they can cut carbon.
