Michael Joseph

RIEm Programme Lead , Brunel University of London

Dr Michael Joseph leads Brunel University of London’s award-winning national exemplar scale-up support programme, Research, Innovate and Emerge (RIEm), supporting businesses to access innovation funding and build strategic R&D partnerships. He also manages collaborations between healthcare organisations and university research groups in Health Care and MedTech.

He brings over 18 years of international experience across more than 25 countries, including senior roles within a large consultancy group. He was named one of the top 10 influential international programme managers by Reuters in 2010.

Dr Joseph is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA), an Honorary Patient Safety Partner at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Vice Chair of the UK Public Administration Association (UKAPA), and Council Member (Education & EdTech) at techUK.
He is a regular speaker at national and international forums and holds a PhD in Public Health.
