Louise Clark-White
Louise is Head of International Climate Policy at National Grid, working on the mechanisms that will help deliver global climate progress. National Grid is a leading international utility and a Principal Partner for COP26 in Glasgow. Louise led the company’s COP26 engagement and activities through to the conference, and continues to work with the UK Government to support its Presidency priorities for the rest of this year.
Louise has been in the energy and climate sector for 12 years. The first half was spent in the Civil Service with various international and domestic policy roles in the Department of Energy and Climate Change, as well as stints in the Cabinet Office and an overseas Foreign & Commonwealth Office posting covering security, justice and counter-extremism. She joined National Grid in 2016, working on strategy and financial regulatory frameworks for the newly separated Electricity System Operator, before moving to her current position to continue her passion of working on climate change.
