Leo is an Innovation and Growth Specialist as part of the Innovate UK, Business Growth team stationed at the LCCI, supporting innovative companies on funding, IP protection and market expansion.

He is a seasoned venture capitalist based in London and was a Partner and investment director at Saatchinvest in 2012 -2024, where he led the economic analysis, negotiations and active monitoring and support of investments in the portfolio.

Leo specialises in growth, private financing, business and financial modelling and innovation commercialisation.

He was founder and MD of the London City Incubator, an initiative looking to successfully accelerate the launch of research-backed, science-backed, high-growth startups.

He complements his investment knowledge with his entrepreneurial experience as a
founder of Comparabien, a multinational comparison website with presence in 5
countries.

Leo is CFA Certified in ESG Investing, holds an Executive MBA (distinction) from Cass Business School and has completed Venture Capital and PE programmes at Harvard and LBS and Strategic Management of Innovation at Imperial.

Leo is the recipient of the Tallow Chandlers Award ’09 (from the Tallow Chandlers
Livery Company) on his MBA dissertation on entrepreneurship.
