As co-founder of Responsible Travel, he has spent more than two decades challenging conventional tourism models and advocating for a more equitable, nature-positive approach to travel. Under his leadership, Responsible Travel has become one of the world's leading responsible tourism platforms, moving beyond the concept of "doing less harm" towards tourism that actively contributes to the regeneration of ecosystems, cultures and local economies. A regular commentator, campaigner and advisor on the future of tourism, Justin has been at the forefront of global campaigns and industry-wide conversations, championing transparency in tourism's environmental impact and helping to establish responsible tourism as a mainstream business imperative rather than a niche concern. Justin was awarded an OBE in 2025 in recognition of his services to nature and the environment.
