Jonathan’s role sees him working with schools, colleges, universities and the Yorkshire and North West Counties schools competitions. “I don’t get involved in the day-to-day running of the competitions, it’s more about providing support and guidance where it’s needed,” he said. “I also work with the national development team to collate all the regional results and put them into the Champion Schools structure. “The period between February and July is busy for us: we set up a series of schools festivals and have at least one or two competitions running every week, in a wide range of age groups."
