Jane is an ecologist, conservationist and author with 30 years of experience working in leadership roles internationally.  She is a specialist in integrated water management, wetlands conservation and holistic landscape restoration, with professional experience spanning Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, South and Southeast Asia, Australasia and Latin America. Jane recently began working as an independent, taking up the role as Chair of Tree Aid, acting as an expert and nominator for Earthshot, serving on the Steering Group of the Planetary Health Alliance as well as leading some local conservation projects in Norfolk, UK. Previously, Jane worked for 19 years as CEO for Wetlands International and served as the first Executive Director of the Global Commons Alliance. She was Regional Director for WWF in Europe and Australia. In all these roles, she has built high performing teams and nurtured cross-sector collaborations that drive nature-positive and people-positive outcomes.
