James Lizars is a member of ACCA's Global Council, a former CFO and the Founder of Thrive in West Sussex, an accounting and finance business specialising in impact-driven startups.
As one of the first UK accounting businesses to achieve B Corp certification and an early partner in the Million Tree Pledge initiative, Thrive has an established track record of demonstrating the business case for sustainability. They achieved national recognition for this work in 2024 as Winners in the ESG category at the Accounting Excellence Awards and as the 2025 Xero Award winners for Environmental Impact.
