Ian Bhullar

Ian Bhullar is Director for Sustainability Policy, and works with financial services firms, governments and regulators to shape the sustainable finance landscape. Passionate about mobilising the finance toward a more sustainable economy, his team focuses on tackling policy barriers to green finance and helping firms share best practice. He sits on the IRSG Sustainable Finance Committee and European Banking Federation’s Sustainability Strategy Group, and is currently chairing the "Innovation and Incentives" working group for the UK Government's Green Home Finance Strategic Partnership. Ian joined UK Finance in 2022 having held advisory roles in the UK Government and European Commission, including as senior advisor to Mark Carney for the COP26 climate conference at HM Treasury.
