Heewon Kang
Heewon Kang is an environmental expert with a background in atmospheric science and international environmental policy, specialising in climate and sustainable development.
She began her career at the British Embassy in Seoul, establishing its climate programme and advancing international cooperation on climate and biodiversity. She later worked with leading businesses at Business New Zealand to drive sustainability strategies and at WWF Korea on deforestation-free supply chains and EU regulatory engagement.
Most recently, she led international cooperation at the Korea Green Foundation, building partnerships with global organisations and representing the organisation at major international climate and environmental negotiations before she worked as a consultant for the EU-Korea Green Partnership Programme. She brings extensive experience bridging science, policy, and business to deliver credible, nature‑positive solutions.
