Harriet Lewis is Senior Director of Public Affairs & Communications at Chiesi UK, where she leads national policy, NHS engagement, communications and sustainability strategy. She leads a multidisciplinary team focused on improving patient outcomes through system-level partnerships, with a particular emphasis on addressing unmet need and health inequalities. This includes initiatives to identify people with undiagnosed COPD, improve outcomes in asthma and support underserved communities and patients requiring complex long-term care, including post-transplant treatment pathways. 

Harriet also leads a critical component of Chiesi UK’s carbon reduction programme, supporting the transition towards lower carbon healthcare solutions and embedding sustainability alongside clinical outcomes within NHS partnerships. Her work reflects a strong commitment to delivering shared value for patients, the health system and the environment. 

Harriet began her career as an NHS pharmacist and Pharmacy Public Health Professional before moving into national policy roles at NICE and the ABPI. She has chaired a number of joint industry initiatives and played a key role in advancing Chiesi’s commitment to improving outcomes for people living with long term and complex conditions, shared value and strengthening equitable access to care and treatments.
