Geoff Horrell is a product innovation leader with more than 20 years of experience building high-impact data and software solutions across financial services, sustainability, and technology. As Chief Product Officer at Downforce Technologies, Geoff leads the development of data-driven tools that enable organisations to understand and manage natural capital at scale. His work supports major players across agriculture, finance, and climate in making decisions grounded in science and data integrity.

Before joining Downforce, Geoff was Group Head of Innovation at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), where he led global initiatives in sustainable finance, digital assets, and private markets. He established LSEG’s Sustainable Finance Lab in partnership with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and launched an internal Innovation Network that engaged over 26,000 employees worldwide.

Earlier, Geoff held senior roles at Refinitiv and Thomson Reuters, including Head of Refinitiv Labs London. He led cross-functional teams to deliver data products valued at over $75 million, including the industry’s first Knowledge Graph Feed, helping bridge complex data with commercial applications.

Geoff brings deep expertise in sustainable investment, user-centred product design, and data infrastructure. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with financial institutions, governments, and technology partners to drive innovation in areas such as ESG data, private market transparency, and open data standards.

He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.
