Starting a career in local government five years ago on the LGA's National Management Trainee scheme, Genevieve has worked across Westminster City Council on a range of health, employment and community co-design programmes. Genevieve was responsible for setting up the council's first participatory budgeting scheme during her time in the Communities Department, as well as leading the council's strategy to increase investment into the local voluntary and community sector. Having recently transitioned into the Environment Department at the council, Genevieve has set up and leads a new service, Environment Transformation, that is dedicated to engaging and empowering communities and businesses to take action against climate change at a local level.
