Esme is Natural Capital Lead at Oxygen Conservation, leading the design, delivery, and verification of Biodiversity Net Gain and carbon projects across the UK. Working at the intersection of ecology, policy, and on-the-ground delivery, she ensures natural capital interventions are technically rigorous and commercially viable - translating ecological ambition into outcomes that can be measured, verified, and financed.

Raised in rural Dorset, Esme developed a deep connection to the British countryside that has shaped her career across terrestrial and marine environments. Her background is rooted in ecology, grounding her in the habitats, species, and land-use systems that underpin effective UK conservation.

At Oxygen Conservation, she works across the full project lifecycle, from habitat assessment through to scheme design, stakeholder engagement, and third-party verification, with particular expertise in Biodiversity Net Gain and emerging ecosystem service markets.
At London Climate Action Week, she offers a grounded, delivery-focused perspective on aligning investment with real biodiversity and climate impact.
