Emily Thomas
Emily is Executive Director of Fundraising Development at the Woodland Trust, the world’s largest tree conservation charity, joining in February 2026. As part of the leadership team, she will be driving forward the income growth of the organisation, working alongside dedicated funders, supporters and partners to deliver nature recovery and ensure we all have access to the health and climate improvements trees bring. Since joining, she has visited some of the Trust's most iconic woodland habitats across the UK and is working with the team to define the Trust's natural capital offering including ensuring supply chain resilience.
Prior to joining the Woodland Trust, Emily has held a variety of roles across the environmental sector spanning the last twenty years. Most recently she was at ClientEarth, spearheading their growth in international fundraising across Europe, the US and Asia. Whilst at the Natural History Museum she was part of the capital campaign team for the Hintze Hall development and has also worked at the National Trust, The Wildlife Trust and Brooke.
