Emily Nurse has been Head of Net Zero at the Climate Change Committee since January 2024. She leads the secretariat’s work on advice on emissions reduction targets and mitigation progress reporting. She has been at the CCC since the end of 2021, previously as Team Leader for Carbon Budgets. Prior to this she was a Professor of Particle Physics at University College London.
