Elise Katilov
Elise Katilov is the Senior Manager for Sustainability at the British Business Bank, the UK’s government-owned economic development bank. In her role, Elise is responsible for improving the Bank’s internal carbon accounting and supporting the development of more effective and accessible sustainability reporting for smaller businesses across the UK.
She represents the British Business Bank across several key sustainability initiatives. Elise is a member of the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) UK Chapter Working Group on Business Loans and Unlisted Equity, helping to shape methodologies that align financial reporting with real-world climate impact. She also contributes to the Perseus Advisory Group 1 on User Needs and Impact, which is working to automate GHG reporting for SMEs, and is actively involved in B4NZ’s SME Sustainability Data Taskforce contributing to the design of a proportionate, consistent and internationally interoperable framework for smaller businesses to report against.
Before joining the British Business Bank, Elise worked as a Risk Analyst for a global Credit Rating Agency, monitoring risks to the accuracy of credit ratings and reviewing credit files. This background in financial analysis and systemic risk underpins her approach to analysing sustainability-related risks and opportunities.
