Prof Stone has been at the University of Sheffield for over 35 years leading research into energy storage and energy conversion, and currently leads the Sheffield contribution to the EPSRC funded FEVER project. He is now a director of the FEVER Hybrid Power university spinout company specialising in commercialising hybrid energy storage for independent and pseudo-independent microgrids
