Cliff Shelton
Cliff Shelton is a consultant anaesthetist at Wythenshawe Hospital and professor in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine at Lancaster Medical School. His clinical interests include anaesthesia for obstetrics, trauma, and emergencies. His academic interests include sustainable healthcare, care quality and patient safety.
Cliff is clinical lead for sustainability in the Wythenshawe Hospital Department of Anaesthesia, co-chair of the Association of Anaesthetists Safety, Standards and Environmental Sustainability Committee, and deputy chair of the World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists Sustainability Committee. He is the strategic lead for sustainability at the NIHR Research Support Service delivered by Lancaster University and Partners.
