Beatrice Neumann
Beatrice is the Head of Skills and Industry Engagement at Screen Yorkshire, where since 2022 she has managed key training programmes including the Yorkshire Screen Diversity Programme (formerly Beyond Brontës), Screen Crafts and Digital Skills Bootcamp, and Connected Campus. While nurturing vital industry relationships, she also spearheads the Yorkshire delivery for Screen Alliance North (SAN)—the BFI Skills Cluster for the North of England—in partnership with North East Screen, Screen Manchester, and the Liverpool Film Office.
Previously, Beatrice spent eight years as a freelance distribution consultant and lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University. She specialized in marketing strategies and DIY distribution via her platform Distribution Rewired, delivering training for the BFI, Screen Skills Ireland, and Creative England. Her earlier 11-year career in film acquisitions included work on titles such as Fish Tank, I Am Love, and the Oscar-winning The Cove. Beatrice is also a member of the Kirklees Climate Commission.
