Anna Bright
I have worked within the environmental management sector for the past 20 years and this reflects my personal interest and passion for environmental sustainability. I started working at SWM in 2013 and have been responsible for the operations of the organisation, as well as delivering a range of programmes and projects, and coordinating many of our networks.
I am on the board of the Midlands Energy Hub and the Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands. I was appointed as Trustee of the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country in December 2018.
Prior to working at SWM I was a consultant at the Organic Resource Agency in Worcestershire for over seven years. I was responsible for the delivery of a wide range of projects focused on the management of organic waste as a resource, via effective collection and treatment. I dealt with national clients in the public and private sector.
Previously I worked for Severn Trent Water as a key account manager working with many large clients within the West Midlands region from the chemical, textile and engineering sector. As well as managing customer accounts I worked with clients in the identification of water efficiency and monitoring solutions.
I have a post graduate diploma in Water and Environmental Management from the University of Bristol and completed my undergraduate studies in Environmental Biogeoscience at the University of Leeds.
Outside work I am mum to two energetic boys and love cycling, live music, and holidays!
