Andrés Pica Téllez (he/him) is Strategic Ventures Advisor at SSG. Previously, Andrés was the Climate Change Director at the Ministry of Environment of Chile, where he led the implementation of the Climate Change Law in Chile, including the development and implementation of the Long-Term Climate Strategy, the Nationally Determined Contribution and assisted on the development of dozens of Local Climate action Plans. Andrés has supported governments in multiple countries across the Americas to develop emissions reduction and resilience increase strategies. Andrés was Executive Director of Centro de Cambio Global UC, leading and developing dozens of initiatives on climate change for academia, the public sector, NGOs, non-governmental institutions, development banks and the private sector. In 2017, the World Energy Council selected him as one of 100 young energy leaders worldwide.
