As a Business Advisor with RTC North I form part of the Investment Readiness Team delivering the Innovate UK Business Growth programme, supporting ambitious UK businesses to make confident, informed decisions about how and when to fund their growth.

There is a big difference between being 'investment seeking' and 'investment ready' and we help businesses to navigate the funding landscape to make it easier for them. Working with investors, regional ecosystems and international partners enables me to bring a different view point to the organisations we work with.

Alongside the investment focused work, I use the skills that I have developed over my 30+ year career to support businesses to refine their strategy, partnerships, commercial positioning and international growth.

I am a results-driven professional with a robust commercial background and a 'can-do' approach. Throughout my journey, I have established myself as both a leader and an invaluable team player, consistently upholding high expectations and standards.

My extensive experience encompasses a diverse range of roles, including:

- Full-Service Marketing: c15 years of expertise in full-service marketing, with a focus on brand marketing. Contributed significantly to renowned blue-chip businesses like Coca-Cola and Nestle, as well as esteemed promotions and advertising agencies in both the UK and Hong Kong.

- Category and Trade Marketing: Demonstrated proficiency in category and trade marketing strategies and implementation.

- Brand Development and Marketing Consultancy: Specialised in brand development and provided strategic marketing consultancy, particularly focused on empowering SMEs.

- Relationship Building and Client Management: Adept at building and nurturing relationships, with a proven track record in client acquisition and management.

- Entrepreneurial Expertise: Possessing entrepreneurial acumen that has played a pivotal role in driving the success of others for over 11 years.

- Business Support and Development: I have supported hundreds of businesses across Yorkshire and the North of England through my work with organisations including The Kings' Trust, Ad:Venture, W&NY Chamber of Commerce, RTC North and Innovate UK Business Growth and I regularly contribute to investment panels, accelerator programmes, international missions and founder education.

My interests include : investment readiness; funding strategy; grants and non-dilutive finance; university spin outs; founder development; innovation ecosystems and internationalisation.
