Alex Hayes
Alex is Director of Philanthropy at NPC (New Philanthropy Capital) where he leads NPC’s work with a wide range of funders and philanthropists.
Prior to working at NPC, Alex was Head of Strategic Funding at The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. There he led a range of multi-million pound strategic initiatives including Ageing Better, an £87M investment to reduce social isolation in older people, and Health Equality, an £11M investment to reduce health inequalities. He has worked across the full grant-making cycle. Alex has also spent time on secondment in the Government Grants Management Function at The Cabinet Office where he supported the development of a new system for managing government grants.
Alex is a Clore Social Leadership fellow, a trustee of Coram Leap Confronting Conflict and the B&Q Foundation.
