The world is shifting, and sustainability needs to change with it. With global conflict increasing and a more transactional political landscape emerging, there is increasing fragmentation, friction and a hard-line on commercial deal making. These new pressures have emerged rapidly, often in conflict with one another, and they’re all impacting the way we talk about sustainability, and our ability to accelerate investment.

But what needs to change in response? The way we frame the conversation.

How we recognise and articulate the value in sustainability needs to change. The conversation has too often been one that frames sustainability as a trade off against commercial opportunity and growth. In addition, a robust focus on regulatory demands has, in some cases, overshadowed the strategic advantages which sustainability can bring.

The Reframing Sustainability Panel will discuss how organisations can create and protect value through sustainability.
