How to Build the Business Case for Nature
Nature loss is increasingly becoming a business issue, not just an environmental one. From supply chain disruption and resource scarcity to regulatory pressure and rising operational costs, more organisations are seeing the impacts of climate and nature loss appear on their balance sheets.
Building on themes explored in Sam Jackson's Reset Connect keynote on the 23rd June, this invite-only session hosted by Ecologi will bring together business leaders, sustainability practitioners and nature experts to discuss how organisations can respond.
This practical session is designed for organisations navigating both the physical and transition risks associated with nature loss. The discussion will create space for honest conversation, peer learning and valuable networking over lunch with others facing similar challenges.
The conversation will explore how businesses are identifying nature-related risks, building the business case for action, securing budget and evaluating opportunities to invest in nature restoration.
Rather than a traditional conference panel, this will be smaller, more informal and interactive session. Following a short facilitated discussion with the panel, attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with speakers and peers, share experiences, ask questions and discuss practical solutions.
Topics will include:
-
How nature loss is creating business risk today
-
How to build the business case and secure budget for nature
-
Approaches to funding nature restoration
-
Assessing project quality and credibility
-
How investing in nature can strengthen business resilience and long-term value
