Confluence not division: Holistic restoration of nature, community and food production at a catchment scale in Dorset.
Division is rife in the countryside. People talk about growing food vs allowing nature to recover, as if it was a binary decision, and farmers are often considered to be different species to everybody else. On top of this, our connection with nature and those who steward it is at an all time low. This session sets out how a farmer and landowner-led project in Dorset proposes to reverse decades of nature degradation, whilst building connections and community alongside sustainable farm businesses.
