Building Net-Zero Cities: Converting CO₂ into High-Performance Construction Materials
The construction sector is responsible for nearly 40% of global CO₂ emissions, creating an urgent need for scalable decarbonisation solutions. Vateris has developed a carbon mineralisation technology that captures CO₂ and converts it into high-performance construction materials that can reduce cement consumption while permanently storing carbon. This session will examine how the technology can support the delivery of net-zero infrastructure, enhance concrete performance and enable cities to reduce embodied carbon in buildings and infrastructure without changing existing construction practices. The presentation will also outline the pathway from pilot-scale validation to industrial deployment with major construction partners.
